Latest release from The Family Grave on the Super8SinglesClub label – out on 26th July
Super8Singles Club is back with its sixth installment and it’s another brilliant offering from Brighton’s eclectic folk pioneers The Family Grave.
The ambitious double A-side single features the epic, hook-laden Caroline and the memorable, folky-poppy Leave Him Behind. Both songs tap into the same nostalgic vein that produced the driving, lo-fi, alt-folk of Mr. Train Driver, the group’s previous release on Super8Singles Club in 2021.
These two original songs further mark The Family Grave’s love of classic songwriting. They will form the backbone of the group’s forthcoming 3rd album, The Family Grave Play Songs About Love, which is set for release later in 2024.
The Family Grave released their second album Happy Songs in 2022 and have built up a strong, loyal following on Spotify and beyond for their original and unique musical approach. Singer-songwriter Jon is joined again by regular collaborators Martyn Moss (M. Butterfly) and Paul Pascoe (Mudlow, Beat Hotel).
