Eliza Marshall heads from Ranagri (and more) into solo mode with a vengeance for the start of ’26.
On the back of her New Birth EP released back in May, a series of singles are set to give fair warning of Eternal Birth, the new solo album from internationally renowned flautist (and more…) Eliza Marshall. Set for release on 16th January 2026 under the One World Records label, the music was recorded at Real World Studios (UK) and in Dakar, Senegal.
The hugely evocative yet deeply personal new single Dust To Dust and its words were inspired whilst flying over The Sahara. Says Eliza: “Looking out at dust clouds, small dwellings, imagining people’s lives in the vast expanse of dryness. My own thoughts about being a woman without children, and what I leave to the world when I die, where my body will go, and who it might touch in centuries to come.”
In explaining her inspiration for Eternal Birth, Eliza talks of “The beautiful poem by Thomas Hardy – Transformations – describing our bodies in the roses and bushes. What is our bloodline without children, the beautiful realisation that our bodies live on through nature, the consequence of what our bodies become and what they might witness in their next incarnation. The importance of trees and wilderness.”
With two more singles to come, one later in December and one in January, the album will be launched at Real World Studios on 14th January 2026.
