2026 looks like being a vintage year for At The Barrier favourites, Barbara. The band recently announced the itinerary for their headlining Spring Tour. But that’s just the spore of the mushroom. Intrigued? Then read on…
2025 – A VINTAGE BARBARA YEAR
2025 has turned out to be quite a year for At The Barrier’s top fop poppers, Barbara. Support slots with the band’s special hero, Dean Friedman and a place on the bill for the Kid Creole & The Coconuts UK Farewell Tour were momentous events in their own right. Then, a trip to Paul Weller‘s Black Barn Studio resulted in the artifact that we’d been awaiting for such a long, long time – Barbara’s debut full-length album (and it’s a corker – an At The Barrier pick of the year!) And that’s not all…
An appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival in June was followed by Barbara’s 2025 Autumn Tour – 12 dates throughout September, October and November that took the Barbara message from Southampton to Glasgow and from Cardiff to Beverley. We popped along to the band’s show at Masham, Yorkshire and, once again, we were struck by that special Barbara magic. 2025 – that was a year, that was!
2026 – THE MOMENTUM BUILDS…
And we’ve got great news for all you drooling Barbarettes – 2026 already looks like it’ll be another exceptional year of burgeoning, breakneck, Barbara bustle. On 14th March, Barbara will be joining the reunited, re-energised Gene for their show at Bristol Beacon (tickets for the show are available here) and, on Sunday, 17th May, John and Henry Tydeman – the beating heart of Barbara – will reconvene with their mate Dean Friedman for an acoustic show at Rayleigh’s Mill Hall (tickets here).
Then…
Barbara’s 2026 REALLY slips into gear as they set off for their Spring 2026 jaunt around this island of ours, for an 8-show tour that takes in many of the boroughs where Barbara Mania has bitten deepest. Indeed, such is Barbara’s popularity in cities like Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh that Barbarettes are urged to place their ticket orders soon, to avoid disappointment. See below for the full tour itinerary, and get you tickets here.

BARBARA AT CROPREDY!!!
I think you’ll agree – I’ve left the most awesome piece of Barbara News until last. Here it comes…
At The Barrier is thrilled and delighted to be able to confirm that Barbara – one of our favourite bands – will be appearing at our favourite festival in August 2026. Yes, it’s true, Barbara are on the bill for Fairport’s Cropredy Convention 2026. They’ll be strutting their stuff on the Cropredy stage on the afternoon of Saturday 15th August – the perfect slot, in my reckoning! The Cropredy crowd love intelligent, entertaining, quirky pop and Barbara are the perfect fit for the festival. Don’t miss them! We really can’t wait…
