Arlo Parks – Albert Hall, Manchester – 26th October 2026
THE JOYS OF THE LAST NIGHT OF A TOUR
There is something really special being able to watch an artist on their last night of their tour, well last UK show before heading to mainland Europe. Tonight, Arlo Parks performed in one of Manchester’s beautiful venues, Albert Hall which was a perfect background for a beautiful night. Albert Hall filled up quickly right before Parks took to the stage and you could tell everyone was eager for the show ahead. The merch line was long, people trying to get as close as they could to the stage. There was a buzz no matter where you went in the venue.
Tonight, show was a celebration for Park’s new album Ambiguous Desire which was released earlier this year and the deluxe version earlier this month. Since it’s released this album has been well received. It’s an album that feels intimate and at times devastating but is always beautiful throughout the whole album. Being able to hear this album live alongside others you could not help but fully immersed within the performance.
INTERACTIONS
With being an artist that has been on my radar for years, with all of my friends going to see her live on previous tour. I was so excited to have this opportunity to see her perform, and not once was I disappointed. Arlo Parks is an amazing communicator through her performance on stage and through her lyricism. Her music is easily relatable to anyone who listens to it and you could see that within the audience. The way the audience interacted with the songs and sang it back to her and the people they came with, it was truly a beautiful moment to see how impactful music can be.
Watching Parks and her band on stage, it felt like you were in a trance. You could not pull your eyes away from the stage. At centre stage, tucked away at the back there were big decks that all the band jumped on and off between songs. It was a simple set up, but with the lighting and the projections on a screen behind them it, it was a beautiful performance to watch. It was nice that lighting was utilised to enhance her music and performance with the lighting and the projection differing between each song.
HOOKED
From the moment Arlo took to the stage and up until she stepped off, she had everyone in the room hooked on. Tonight’s show was a celebration of both her music and the connection she has built with her fans and audiences. The whole night was so beautifully executed with a performance that will forever be imprinted on everyone there.
