Video premiere for the new single from Mudlow as 2025 starts as we hope it means to go on.

What better way to kick off 2025? It’s New Year’s Day. All is definitely not quiet, as we encounter an eight and a half minute slice of driving, hypnotic blues boogie from Blues maestros, Mudlow.

The brand new Mudlow single sets the tone for 2025 with their first new release in 2 years. The dark, hypnotic single Headlights is unveiled on 1.1.2025, with the accompanying music video adding a visual companion to the nightmare-ish road trip, capturing the song’s unsettling mood. 

Headlights will be available for download and streaming on all digital music platforms from 1st January, 2025.

The band explain how track started life “as a dynamic live experiment and evolved into what we have now as an eight and a half minute slice of hypnotic blues boogie.” 

Think in the ballpark of Daniel Lanois’ swampy production circa Dylan’s Oh Mercy and Time Out Of Mind era. The rolling, repetitive rhythm combines with a deep, brooding atmosphere, showcasing the band’s ability to defy genres and push creative boundaries. With its mesmeric, trance-like beat and eerie, spectral vocals, Headlights leads the listener on a cinematic road trip through an unpredictable sonic landscape. 

Mudlow’s experimental approach to blues draws from a variety of influences. The band bring a fresh take to the genre, combining shamanic grooves with avant-garde elements that challenge traditional blues structures.

Fans can expect more from Mudlow in the coming months, including live shows and a brand new album, slated for release in late spring 2025.
