DREAM SEQUENCE
Deeparshi Roy describes Dream Sequence as an all instrumental post-rock record with touches of ambient and electronic soundscapes.
No one could call it better. It is a totally unique piece of work as he seeks an outlet for a solo piece aside from his work as guitarist of the band Sitar Metal which is a ground breaking sitar-fronted metal band.
He builds his pieces around short repetitive melodies then builds on with all the electronic gadgetry he can muster to create hypnotic ethereal instrumentals. How you listen to it is open ended but the opportunity is there to focus your mind on anything in particular, just let the music guide you to where you want to be.

LIGHTNESS & DEPTH
With the lack of lyrics comes the lack of any pretentiousness or being forced to think in any particular way. There is simplicity developing into a multi layered sonic experience and it is definitely an experience to enjoy. There is lightness and there is a depth too which is all encompassing.
For some, it will grow as you decide how this music will fit into your listening experience, whether you need a darkened room to allow your mind to wander or an accompaniment to a daily pursuit is completely optional. The music lets you decide!
The titles may just be there to distinguish one piece from another or to help you select a favourite but they donโt necessarily lead you in any direction. This is an album you could see as one complete work or small entities of there own. Like the atmosphere created within the music the options are boundless. The element of freedom is refreshing, exciting and awe -inspiring.
Itโs a wonderful way to begin a new year if you are looking for a novel musical experience to explore. It will be interesting to see how Deeparshi Roy develops his sumptuous solo outpourings of fascinating music.
