The next wave of names on the teamsheet for the 2026 Manchester Folk Festival is out and very exciting it is too.

Manchester Folk Festival 2026 is already shaping up o be a cracker with the first wave of names already announced, a second wave has just appeared over the horizon.

Hench Wenches
Frankie Archer
Rachael McShane & The Cartographers

are set to join the previously announced line-up: Fairport Convention, Seth Lakeman, Bella Hardy, The Young’uns, McGoldrick, McCusker & Doyle, Angeline Morrison, Shovel Dance Collective, Daudi Matsiko, Taff Rapids and Jenn Butterworth.

WOW! having been with the Manchester Folk Festival and Homegrown’s fine English Folk back in Bury; from The met to HOME and the Northern Quarter for over a decade, how good is it to see some returning names and powerplayers in the Folk field.
