DIVORCE

A quick glance at their Wiki has their music of primarily Alt Country labelled as “Wilco meets Abba.” Add a splash of Folk, Grunge, Shoegaze and Indie Punk, Divorce are all things to all men (and women). Two thirds of the current 18 song set dedicated to this year’s debut Drive To Goldenhammer album – a record they’ll be touring across the USA in early 2026.

A band out of Stoke – “the creative wilderness of Staffordshire” – Formal Sppeedwear is in good company – check out the town’s enfants terribles – With a debut album around the corner & two anticipated headline shows in London & Manchester coming, it feels like things are about to go up a gear… Soundwise, some ears familiar wit the 70s and 80s may pick up on shades of Bill Nelson/Be Bop Deluxe/David Byrne.

Check out Bored Of Life for a flavour of Curiosity Shop’s easy vibe – anything with two acoustic guitars, a double bass and accordion is bound to have folkies alerted but think more in dreamy and chilled out soundscapes.
