Following the success of the Folk Prostate Cancer Concerts in November 2018, which raised just over an incredible £7000, this year’s event will be taking place at the Penistone Paramount, Penistone once againwith music over two days!

Comprising Saturday afternoon and evening concerts on November 16th and another show on Sunday night, November 17th Fok Prostate Cancer is brainchild of ace banjo player Damien O’Kane for whom the support last year was enormous with 2 sold-out shows in one day.
The key messages are about raising awareness of Prostate Cancer, raising money for such a great cause through Folk Prostate Cancer UK, and saving lives. Music is a hugely valuable and powerful way of getting this message across. We all need music in our lives (and in our schools for that matter) and every artist taking part is doing so because they too want to spread the word and help reduce prostate cancer statistics.
The line-up this year includes none other than Barnsley’s own Mercury-nominated Kate Rusby, and one of the UK greatest storytellers and songwriters, Ralph McTell who is now celebrating more than 50 years in the business.
Get yourself to the wonderful Penistone Paramount for what is sure to be a thrilling weekend of music from some of the leading lights in the Folk and Acoustic music world. Here’s this year’s line -up:
