Thunderous Jones – Out Of Sight: Single News

Out Of Sight is the new single by Midlands Metal troop, Thunderous Jones.

Back in January we featured their Fallen/Choked release (review here) that whetted the appetite for more of their furious (and, erm, thunderous) metal.

After the success of their previous singles and with a COVID delayed album awaiting completion, the band decided to celebrate being added to the BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2021 line up by releasing a new single.

They have called Out Of Sight, “a hard hitting reflection of the constant frustration that is surrounding the globe at this current time.” In the finest tradition of wine-tasting parlance, I’m getting a hint of Ricky Warwick and Black Star Riders but with more clout. It’s emphasised by an underlying vein of Celtic jiggery coming from the belting rhythm and the twin guitars. Add the combination of clean and (very) harsh demonic vocals, the chance to shout “hey! hey!” plus the disturbing sight of Liam Coffeys’ cloudy eyeballs and there’s no hiding the darkness within.

Out Of Sight is set for release on all digital platforms on 14th May 2021. There’s also a video premiere on their Youtube channel at 18:00 where you’ll see the band causing chaos in the local woods… If you’d been down to the woods on that day you’d certainly have been in for a big surprise.
