Lest we should forget, the Bleek Noir kettle continues to boil with a new single dropping and doing the rounds.
A regular item on our pages, we’re always intrigued when there’s some new music from Bleek Noir. It’s not been long since we had some Strange Singalongs, and now we find him asking Is It Only Me? A track that’s had the honour of being recently featured on BBC Introducing, it’s not quite fully fledged mainstream yet packed with brassy outbursts and instantly familiar angular and verging on manic vocals. Right at the heart is a chorus that gives a hint, possibly, of Bleek hero Mr Morrissey. Add a little something else that at the time of writing, something similarly catchy I can’t quite put a finger on. It might be a Ray Davies/Kinks thing but don’t quote me.
As usual, there’s a suitably vivid piece of video to go with the track
