It’s September, folks! The festival season isn’t quite over yet but, already, our thoughts are turning to autumn and a return to indoor venues for our musical delights. And, one of the first bands out of the blocks for their 2022 autumn tour will be At The Barrier favourites – Brighton’s Barbara.

Their tour – their first as a headline act – kicks off on Tuesday 6th September at the Hare and Hounds in King’s Heath, Birmingham and runs until 17th September when they return to their home ground at The Prince Albert in Brighton. At The Barrier will be dropping in to catch the band as they make their way around the country.
We loved Barbara’s recent mini-album Mildly Entertaining (still in the running as one of my 2022 Albums of the Year!) and I was knocked out by the band’s live presence when I was fortunate enough to be at Brighton’s Prince Albert for the album’s official launch show in May. Earlier this year, the band got a great reception when they opened for the one and only Divine Comedy earlier this year and now, for the first time, they’ll be headlining their own tour, with a small schedule of dates announced for September.
The guys will be appearing at the following venues:
Birmingham – Hare and Hounds: 6th September
Manchester – Gullivers: 7th September
London – The Grace: 8th September
Brighton – Prince Albert: 17th September
