Barbara – Waiting Outside Alone. New single coming soon… : News

It’s happening: The first of a new sequence of releases from ATB faves Barbara – their new single – Waiting Outside Alone – will be with us next week!

When we spoke with the Tydeman brothers – John and Henry, who form the creative core of this amazing outfit – after their show at Gulliver’s in Manchester in September, they dropped a few undisguised hints that they had enough material in their pipeline to fill a much-awaited follow-up to Mildly…

And, happily, we’re about to reap the first fruits of those Barbara off-stage labours very shortly – on 9th November, in fact, when the band’s new single, Waiting Outside Alone, will hit the airwaves. If you’re already a converted Barbarette, you’ll probably be familiar with the song, as it’s the number they usually use to open their live shows – and, by the way, if you haven’t already had the Barbara live experience, there’s a hole in your life that you never knew existed…

Like all their other favourites – Rainy Days in June, BRB, Don’t Send Me Messages, A Perishing of Cherished Things and all the rest, Waiting Outside Alone promises yet another slice of classic Barbara fop-pop. We can’t wait…
