News and a view of the new double A side single from Freya Beer.

Back in October ’21, we were impressed with the Gothic darkness of Freya Beer’s debut album – Beast. She’s been working on the successor and has revealed the first fruits of her labours. Fantasy / Galore is out now on her own label – Sisterhood Records.

The new double A side is a deliberate choice as it showcases two distinct sides to Freya Beer, yet with a dark and shadowy undertone.

Of Fantasy she says: “Fantasy is an unfiltered exploration of self-discovery and expressing your thoughts in a fictional world. I wanted to write a song that emotes raw emotion and tells the listener to embrace their feelings in a positive way.”

The more Goth Rock balladeering Galore, she describes as being: “about people who are infatuated with something, almost bordering on ‘obsession’. The line “I’m your galore, you don’t want anyone else babe” depicts how this obsession is becoming a feeling of escapism and creating a fictional storyline for themselves.”
