Hot on the heels of the Foxtrot At Fifty live album release, Steve Hackett and his band, which will also include singer/guitarist Amanda Lehmann for the full tour, announces a UK tour for October 2024 in the latest of his ongoing Genesis Revisited series.

2024 sees the fiftieth anniversary of Genesis’ The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway so it’s apt that the tour takes the title of Genesis Greats, Lamb Highlights & solo. Quite an undertaking, yet while he’s played bits and pieces from The Lamb in the past, this tour will see a sequence that we can expect to include the title track, Fly On A Windshield, Broadway Melody Of 1974, Carpet Crawl, maybe Hairless Heart, Chamber Of 32 Doors and The Lamia. Maybe one or two pieces from the latter half of the album that he’s never before performed too.

Genesis Great? He may surprise us by omitting the usual suspects (both Firth Of Fifth and Los Endos both getting a ribbing from PROG magazine in their album review), but maybe a return for Dancing With The Moonlit Knight and The Musical Box wouldn’t be sniffed at.

Steve has also been recording, continuing his solo releases, so what to expect from the vast solo catalogue is a tricky shout. Again, avoiding the usual suspects from his early solo albums that have featured in the last couple of tours may see something like The Steppes resurrected although something form his more recent past might be a nice (and welcome surprise. The setlist bets are on!

Here are the dates:

“I’m hugely looking forward to the 2024 UK tour,” says Steve, “including ‘The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway’ favourites as well as other iconic Genesis numbers along with solo gems. It’ll also be exciting to return to the wonderful Royal Albert Hall!”

Tickets go on sale on Friday 29th September at 10am  https://myticket.co.uk/artists/steve-hackett
