News of the the events at The Brasenose Fringe in Cropredy – August 2024

During the second weekend of August in Cropredy, Oxfordshire, the Brasenose Arms hosts a fringe festival, open to all. The Fringe consists of a variety of genres, performed by artists from all over the world.

Early arrivals can enjoy TradARRR on Wednesday evening, but the main event kicks off at 11.15am on Thursday 8th August with the Matthew English Band. The three day bill includes Chris While & Julie Matthews, Leatherat, Spank The Monkey, The Folly Brothers and Iota – with a special surprise announcement to come on 1st April – filling a Saturday afternoon slot….

One band that’s a ‘must see’ is Dream In Colors – Steve Knightley (Show Of Hands), Johnny Kalsi (The Dhol Foundation), Eliza Marshall (Ranagri – who are playing down the road in the big field…), and Bennett Cerven (The Trouble Notes).

Our fusion of trance, rhythmic beats, and world music grooves creates a sonic tapestry that invites audiences to let loose, embrace the rhythms, and celebrate together,” says Steve. “With the exceptional talents of Bennett, Eliza, and Johnny, we aim to transport listeners on a rhythmic journey that sparks joy and connection.”
