Caity Baser

Caity Baser is a name you may have heard before, and it’s definitely one you’ll be hearing for many years to come. Having collaborated with the likes of Sigala and Joel Corry, Southampton-born Caity Baser is taking the world by storm with her outspoken lyrics personality and feel-good songs.

Still Learning starts off with a bang with I’m A Problem. Caity describes the opening track as the “epitome of female rage.” Its empowering lyrics encourage listeners to be bold and not let themselves be told what to do.

Released in November 2022, X & Y is one of Caity’s earlier singles, which skyrocketed to popularity on the social media platform TikTok. The play-on-words hook of “you’re not my ex, you’re just my why” is the perfect way to draw her listeners in to the feel-good track.

Everything Everywhere All At Once is a personal favourite which describes the feeling of falling for someone who is completely wrong for you. You feel all the good things about falling in love, but everything bad too. The lyrics “I wanna tell you that I love you then smash up your house,” perfectly capture the contrasting feelings that overwhelm you in this situation.

I’ll Be Here For You closes the album with a testament to Caity’s fans, and the love she has for them. It has quickly become a fan favourite and it really speaks to Caity’s fandom as a whole, and the tight-knit community they’ve built together.

Next month, Caity sets out on her second UK headline tour, ending with a flourish at Hammersmith Apollo in London. You can catch her later on in the year at the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Isle of Wight Fest and Oceanfest.
