Southampton-based musician Jack Francis has announced his first-ever UK headline tour to celebrate the release of his acclaimed sophomore album Early Retirement. We called the album “a self-deprecating delight” and Sept/October will see him on his first ever UK headline tour with his full band in tow.

“I’m really looking forward to taking the band out on the road for my first ever headline tour of the UK,” he says. “I want to celebrate the release of my latest album Early Retirement by performing these songs the way they were intended to be heard – with a full arrangement. You can expect some new arrangements of old songs, songs from the new record and maybe even a surprise cover or two!”

The unique brand of soulful folk that Jack Francis presents has caught the attention of BBC Radio 2, with the singles from Early Retirement garnering national airplay in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and the album itself debuting in both the official Folk & Americana charts.

The full band aspect brings a different dynamic of Francis’ songwriting and performance to life, and these shows promise to deliver a memorable experience from a musician at the height of his powers.
