Sister Suzie – Time: Video Premiere

First single, Time, from the upcoming album, Honestly? We have a video premiere from Sister Suzie.

We have the premiere on the video for Time, the first single from the second album from Northumbrian powerhouse roots musician, Sister Suzie, who also sings with the acclaimed Nothing In Rambling.

It was filmed by Matt Jackson, The Right Band’s guitarist, around the coastal areas of St Leonard’s on Sea & Hastings, and in Rye Church Tower.

I used the seaside as a lyric in the song that says ‘I’ve blown and I’ve whistled downwind‘” she says. “I come from a family of fishermen and they say it’s unlucky to blow or whistle in the wind for it will stir up the seas, I write that I must have whistled too much. It’s about not being someone’s first choice, forever being put to one side and filling in the gaps when whoever becomes lonely. Wandering alone in a dress I didn’t get to dance in… Again…

The album, Honestly? is set for release on 6th March 2025 AND there’s a Launch gig at Henry Ward Hall, Hastings – 1st November 2024

Hailing from North Northumberland, Sister Suzie is a powerhouse blues and soul singer, and songwriter, who wears her heart on her sleeve. Based in Hastings on the South coast she has been bringing her kind of roots music to audiences in clubs and major festivals around the UK, in Europe, and in the US for the last 8 years with her band Sister Suzie & The Right Band.

Their first album, Ain’t No Lady (2018) licensed to Last Music Company was 50% originals and 50%
covers to include artists such as Big Mama Thornton, Elmore James and Irma Thomas.
