A Winter Union – Tour News

You know the man in the red suit (read that as either Santa or Noddy Holder) is readying for a visit when A Winter Union tour is imminent...

Icy chills in the air and blue skies or Storm Bert. Either way, the Christmas markets are in full flow and a year on from releasing Sooner After Solstice, the Folk supergroup of sorts with a festive tweak, A Winter Union is readying for another December tour.

“We’ve long looked upon our December tour as a kind of month-long Christmas party,” says Ben Savage, who’s joined by The Willows teammate Jade Rhiannon Ward; Kat Gilmore and Jamie Roberts whose latest studio album Documenting Snapshots appeared back in 2023, and of course his musical partner, Hannah Sanders. The S&S duo is on a fine run of form having just competed a tour around their fourth studio album, In The Dark We Grow – our tagline “A glorious record with, potentially, the best vocal performance of the year,” (At the Barrier) even quoted in the PR gubbins!

We missed last year’s tour… Granted, it didn’t stray into our local North West but does this time with the first date in Manchester, so we’re looking forward to enjoying some joyful festive music together. It’s the first date of 17, including a live stream for anyone who wants to party from the comfort of their own home:
