Anyone approaching three score and ten, or who may have surpassed it, will be familiar with the sentiment of this title. Rumour has it there are now more than 4 TV channels and you neednโ€™t leave your seat to change to any of โ€˜em.

Itโ€™s a while since we reported how Matt had recovered his muse and with this song written in collaboration with Irish legend Paul Brady, it is still with him even though the technology surrounding it might still be baffling.

This rollocking funky/jazzy song will be no doubt included in his up and coming performance at Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow although it is as far removed from his celtic sound as could possibly be. Itโ€™s a stomping good rocker. It may not have a reel but it certainly does rock.

Matt applauds Paulโ€™s contribution: โ€œAs we were writing this song , Paul sang the idea for the chorus,” he says. ” I instinctively knew it wouldnโ€™t sound right any other way on the record.โ€

Paul returns the complement by saying: โ€œI enjoy writing with Matt, a talented artist whose love of both contemporary pop forms and Irish folk music mirrors my own. โ€œ

Matt will be celebrating the release of this song with a special performance at the prestigious CELTIC CONNECTIONS Festival.
