News of the latest extravaganza from Øresund Space Collective.

Øresund Space Collective (ØSC), formed in 2004, is the totally improvising Scandinavian space rock band and has been releasing albums since 2006, influenced by the ever-changing line up in the collective.
Alotta Hella Down In Estrela is their 34th studio album by the Øresund Space Collective. Set for release on 24th April it very much follows in the footsteps of previous albums. The launching pad is an epic 50 min track that glides through the forests of funk, into the depths of space and back in under an hour. Slow To Fast First Rays is a beautiful melodic piece of music and then halfway, picks up into an uptempo jam, at times a bit funky, at times a bit dissonant. Weberian Bass is a sort of hypnotic piece with fantastic guitar lines and synth textures to support the track.
Perhaps not surprisingly, Tangled Foot Badger is where things get a bit strange and experimental and you got a trip into a new magical world to disappear forever. Echoes Ambientic is a more ambient synth based mellow track. A fine way to come down at the end of the 2nd CD.
