Little Sparrow invents Space Folk on the new single, Moondust.

Little Sparrow, singer-songwriter Katie Ware, returns with her long-awaited new single, Moondust. The song marks her first release in four years and introduces a fresh, dreamy direction into the world of electronic pop, while continuing to highlight the distinctive sparrow voice and songwriting talent.

Moondust blends ethereal electronic textures with poignant, atmospheric soundscapes. Hence the term ‘spacefolk’!

Written with long-time collaborator and producer Jonny Lexus and cellist Sarah Dale, the track also features Robin Dewhurst on piano, Mitch Oldham on percussion with additional production by Sean Kelly. The combination of lush instrumentation and the signature breath of Sparrow vocals creates an ethereal and celestial sound.

Moondust is the perfect blend of the new and familiar, capturing the unique spirit of Little Sparrow while pushing the boundaries of the music she’s known for. The guitar is shelved for a piano and string drenched piece that touches on the edge of obsession. A genuinely atmospheric piece that swells and swings to create an atmosphere of desire and intensity.

“Moondust began with the feeling of being drawn to someone, eager to discover more about them,” says Katie. “That mesmerising feeling of meeting someone new, who takes you to another dimension—an experience that leaves you feeling spellbound and transported.”
