Wolf Alice return with a new single, album and tour. It’s time for Wolf Alice to take the next step on their path to greatness.

WOLF ALICE

North London’s Wolf Alice burst onto the scene in 2010 with raw energy and genre-defying sound. Their 2015 debut album My Love Is Cool earned critical acclaim and a Mercury Prize nomination. They followed up with Visions of a Life in 2017. This sophomore effort not only showcased their sonic versatility but also won the Mercury Prize, solidifying their place in modern rock.

In 2021, they released Blue Weekend, which further elevated their status. Critics and fans alike lavished praise on it. Throughout their career, Wolf Alice have actively pushed boundaries, blending fierce guitar riffs with haunting melodies. With each release, they continue to evolve, proving that innovation and authenticity remain at the heart of their music.

Now, in August 2025, they are set to release their new LP; The Clearing.

BLOOM BABY BLOOM

As a taster of The Clearing, Wolf Alice have released their lead track, Bloom Baby Bloom. On the new single, Ellie Roswell notes; “I wanted a rock song; to focus on the performance element of a rock song, and sing like Axl Rose, but to be singing a song about being a woman. I’ve used the guitar as a shield in the past and playing it has perhaps been some way to reject the ‘girl singer in band’ trope. But I wanted to focus on my voice as a rock instrument, so it’s been freeing to put the guitar down and reach a point where I don’t feel like I need to prove that I’m a musician.”

It is a refreshing outlook and one that whets the appetite for the forthcoming album. The sound of Bloom Baby Bloom feels like a departure for the band. A piano motif and Roswell channelling Donna Summer’s Love To Love You Baby sound thrilling. When Wolf Alice reach the chorus, they crash in with a huge sound. It allows Roswell to continue to showcase her stunning voice, whilst the band go full throttle behind her.

WORLD TOUR

Wolf Alice will head out on a World tour in support of The Clearing. They start in America in September and head into Europe before a home run in November and December. These dates are in addition to the bands already announced shows at Radio One’s Big Weekend in Liverpool and a main stage slot at Glastonbury Festival 2025.
