The promise of “a lush, lyrical exploration of memory, loss and the shadows of fame,” will hardly come as a surprise to anyone familiar with the music of Angel Snow.

poignant and powerful

Building slowly from a barely discernible acoustic guitar the mood glides effortlessly into a exploration of beauty and controlled power. Aching and brooding there’s a great line about “memories might fade, re-emerge in the shade” that reinforvces the theme of nostalgia and what’s termed the inescapable weight of past choices.

Haunting and seductive melodies, aching lyricism and a hypnotic sonic landscape of soft pulses and drips of electronic notes that ends in a place far removed from initial moments ,the single marks the beginning of a new chapter for Angel Snow. The rather exciting suggestion of an upcoming body of work that continues to blend organic storytelling with a greater emphasis on cinematic soundscapes.
