Another foretaste of A Few Tears Of Eros – the forthcoming new album from Illinois singer-songwriter Trevor Sensor. Heaven’s A Big Disgrace is a storming Southern Stomper that, if it had been written 50 years ago, would be a nailed-on classic today.

EVEN BETTER THAN THE LAST!
Midwestern native Trevor Sensor released his debut EP Texas Girls and Jesus Christ in 2016. That debut was followed by Andy Warhol’s Dream (2017) and, in 2021, he returned once again with On Account Of Exile Vol. 1 & Vol. 2, an “infinitely rewarding collection,” according to Americana UK magazine. And, finally, in August, he’ll be back again with his latest offering, A Few Tears Of Eros.
We’ve already enjoyed one appetising foretaste of A Few Tears Of Eros. Just last month, we described lead single, The Farm, as “…a song with an instant hook.” Second single, Heaven’s A Big Disgrace is, if anything, even better. In fact, I’d go as far as to suggest that, had this song been written 50 years ago, it would have been a sure-fire smash hit and would remain a classic even today. Sadly, things are different in 2025, but you never know…
HEAVEN’S A BIG DISGRACE
Described as “…a Southern rocker about a ‘starlet fatale,’ “Heaven’s A Big Disgrace is, indeed, a fine song. Trevor’s Dylan-esque voice comes over loudly and clearly. That’s not the only Dylan point of reference. Trevor’s cynical lyrics are right out of the same mould that produced Like A Rolling Stone, although the mood here is infinitely more upbeat. A tight drumbeat provides the foundation for waves of crashing guitars and the whole thing is laced with delicious sprinkles of slide guitar.
It all bodes extremely well for the forthcoming album which, A Few Tears Of Eros which will be released on 8th August. Can we wait that long??
