REAL ANTHEMS

Just about a year ago we loved watching Tyketto at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on the Uriah Heep tour. They were bang on form and full of energy which has been channelled into a new album.

A strong spirit of optimism and drive powers the album’s more arena-ready passages, as Tyketto tap back into their classic arena rock roots —most strikingly on the new single We Rise.

“In the spirit of ‘Don’t Come Easy’ we set out to create a couple of real arena rock anthems and ‘We Rise’ is definitely one of those.” says vocalist and founding member Danny Vaughn. “It also marked the first real collaborative effort within the band for this album. Harry brought in the guitar riff and the chorus. Chris and I fleshed out the arrangement and the lyrics and before you know it, magic happened! It’s a simple message; when you get knocked down, keep getting back up!”

Joined by Harry Scott Elliott on guitar, Ged Rylands on keyboards, Chris Childs (Thunder) on bass and Johnny Dee (Doro) on drums, Vaughn fronnts a lineup that brings exceptional performances and undeniable fire to every track, reaffirming Tyketto as one of rock’s most respected and enduring names. 

Closer To The Sun was recorded across multiple studios in the UK and Europe, including Flip Flop Studios and the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales and is set for release Friday, 20th March , via Silver Lining Music. For pre-orders go here.
