DMA’S, Salarymen – Victoria Warehouse, Manchester – Friday 6th February 2026

It’s an Antipodean double bill in the city of music to which both DMA’S and Salarymen owe a debt.

DMA’S

Kicking off their tour the DMA’S took the stage at Manchester Victoria Warehouse alongside the Salarymen who set the tone for the show that felt both intimate and explosive. From the moment the doors opened there was a sense that this wasn’t just another tour stop for the bands or for the audience. Kicking off this tour with a sold out show you couldn’t help feel the buzz and the excitement for the evening ahead.

By the time DMA’S walked on the energy had changed completely. Something in the air felt electric, everyone who came tonight celebrated the band. DMA’S return to Manchester came with an extra layer of meaning this time around. The band are marking a decade since their breakthrough, ten years of anthems, evolution and a fanbase that has grown and followed them every step of the way.

CONNECTION

What stood out the most was the sense of connection DMA’S have been able to create with their fans. Tonight that feeling felt amplified no matter where you looked around the venue. You couldn’t help but see people feel connected to the music, singing and dancing around with family and friends. Being able to see the audience from within the pit and within the audience felt so electric and so alive.

There’s something special about watching a band return to a city that has fully embraced them. Manchester and the DMA’S have formed a strong connection over the years where they have been able to sell out shows when they are in Manchester. The night felt like a milestone, a reminder how far they have come and their potential for even greater things. After 10 years, they don’t show any signs of stopping anytime soon and their performance was a reminder of that. The energy from this crowd felt so raw and alive and seeing everyone so involved with their music made it evident that DMA’S have built a connection with their fanbase that deepens over time and one that is only going to keep growing.

SALARYMEN

Stepping onto a Manchester stage far from Sydney, Salarymen combines vintage and modern influences into their music. Renee de la Motte and Thom Eagleton have a chemistry that translates effortlessly through their music and through their live performance. Watching them open for DMA’S it felt right watching them perform, coming from Sydney Australia it felt like this duo felt right at home performing on this stage far from home.

Hearing their music for the first time tonight made me feel excited for what is ahead for this duo. There was something special about their performance, before you knew it you were pulled in and by the end of their set it was hard not to feel curious and excited about where they are heading next. They are the kind of opener that doesn’t just warm up the audience for the main act, they make you want to go home and do a deep dive into their discography. Seeing them out on tour with the DMA’S feels like the start of something bigger, I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing where this run takes them and what they build from it.
