Award-winning singer-songwriter Dan Whitehouse returns to the UK stage this June with a run of intimate shows previewing and launching his forthcoming album Only Love.

These June dates offer an early glimpse into Only Love, a new body of work for piano and voice, created
in collaboration with celebrated pianist David O’Brien who joins Dan for the tour finale and album
launch in Birmingham with the official release date in October.

Only Love, the album, looks unflinchingly at fatherhood, distance and the harsh emotional realities of a life lived in between continents. The title track is a bittersweet ballad with an irresistibly catchy melody, dedicated to his young son who lives in Japan. “Days out together with my son are so precious, they stand like golden statues in my mind,” says Dan. “The poignant feeling of knowing we share so much, yet our lives are ultimately dictated by the calendar. The boomerang whiplash of returning home to my other life.”

Alongside new material, the performances will draw from Dan’s wider catalogue, including The Glass Age and Voices From The Cones, making for an audience experience that is profound and emotionally riveting.
