Prolific Australian guitarist, composer and producer Plini releases his brand new album; An Unnameable Desire.

ASTOUNDING OPENER
Dorenavant heralds the music in with sonic chiming before An Unnameable Desireโs pounding, multi layered instrumentals rise to a climax. Talk about throwing in the kitchen sink to let you know what heโs about but this is an astounding mouth watering opener.
The intention with this album,” adds Plini, “was to let that side of the process be as playful as possible, and then when it came to executing these ideas as finished songs, trying to expand the music in every direction possible.โ
Plini does exactly this with every track. You can feel every space full with not a second to waste. Ciel keeps the pace flowing with guitar licks acting like shooting stars and multiple riffs churn away.
BLISTERING AND FRENETIC
His guitar work can be blistering and frenetic too as in Canyon but then pervade a more serene quality for Now Then; although this develops into more complex layering. More mayhem mixed with tranquillity ensues on Manual Vesperline and Ruin but amidst the seeming chaos there is control and direction.
The clarity and complexity of his guitar work has given him deserved awards and live support spots with eminent bands like Sleep Token and his prowess creates exciting music which never drifts off into oblivion maintaining your interest. The impact is full on, no more so in his final track The Time Will Pass Away which shows off all his phenomenal skills.
Plini continues; โ... as thoughtful and intricate as possible in relating the songs to each other through various themes and references. I hope it’s as enjoyable to listen to as it was to make!โ
There is no doubt: it is!
