Bleech 9:3 – YES, Manchester: Live Review

Bleech 9:3 – YES, Manchester -19th May 2026

BRIMMING WITH CONFIDENCE

Bleech 9:3 took the stage in YES Basement brimming with the sort of confidence that immediately shifted the tone of the room. The pink room was packed, people squeezing closer trying to get to the front, drinks in hand and everyone was ready for whatever the band were about to throw at them. As soon as they launched into their opening track the energy snapped into place; sharp guitars, tight drums and vocals that cut right through you and it was clear from the first few seconds that this wasnโ€™t going to be the sort of show anyone was forgetting anytime soon.

Already on a roll going into this show in Manchester, having opened for Deadletter at Projekts Skate the weekend prior, that momentum carried straight into YES Pink Room. The second they walked out onto that stage, the room was already buzzing before they even played a note and the band looked completely at home. On top of that, Bleech 9:3 had just released a new EP and you could feel the excitement from it carrying into the room.

The crowd instantly reacted to the music; heads nodding, people shouting lyrics back to the band and the crowd growing more in energy by the second. Bleech 9:3 did not waste a single second between songs either. They were able to keep the pace high, rolling straight into the next track before the room could fully settle.

LOCKING INTO THE MOMENT

As the set progressed, the sound in Pink Room seemed to grow bigger with every track. The guitars hit harder, the drums felt sharper and the vocals carried effortlessly. You could feel the temperature rising as more people pushed forward and moshed around the room. The energy in the room felt raw and unfiltered; no overthinking, no hesitation just a band locked in their moment, and the audience mirrored them. The whole room was moving, bodies flying forward, mosh pits opening up and people crowd surfers passing overhead.

Watching this band on stage you couldnโ€™t help but feel mesmerised at how they moved on stage and how they interacted with the audience. One moment that will forever stand out was Baz coming down from the stage and going straight into the crowd. The room erupted the second he stepped off stage; space was made for him, people cheering and the inevitable phones shooting up. It was amazing to take in the loyalty of the Bleech fanbase.

A few of the songs performed tonight were unreleased but that did not matter to the fans who somehow knew every single word of these songs. It created this surreal moment where the band and the crowd felt completely connected like everyone in the room was a part of something that had not been officially released yet. That kind of reaction does not happen by accident. It was sign of a band who were building something big.

TIGHT, LOUD & IN CONTROL

When the set ended, the applause was immediate and huge. Bleech delivered a performance that felt bigger than the room they were playing in and they proved exactly why they are becoming one of the most exciting Irish bands breaking into the music scene. Tight, loud and completely in control of the room and they left Manchester wanting more.

What made the night even more special for everyone was what happened after the songs finished. Instead of disappearing backstage and calling it a night the band came back into the room taking the time to talk to everyone, thanking people, posing for photos. It was a genuine moment of connection the kind you only get with a band who truly cares about the people supporting them. While it is clear they are growing fast and nights like this might soon be too big or too busy for that kind of closeness, it made this show feel even more meaningful. It was the kind of ending that stays with you long after.
