Retro styled synth pop funsters Deco launch their second album with an accompanying tour. Headline shows at Londonโs Scala, Nottingham Rock City and Manchester Academy 3.

Disappear from reality
After spending 2026 building a world around the music, Nottingham synth-pop band Deco finally open the doors to Dreamhouse, their second album.
A colourful escape from the chaos of the outside world, Dreamhouse imagines somewhere positivity, connection and possibility can take over. Across 12 tracks of bright synth-pop, Deco have created a record designed to offer somewhere to disappear from reality for a while.
Positivity, Connection and Possibility
โDreamhouse is a colourful escape from the chaos of 2026,โ says frontman Max Kendall. โItโs about imagining a place where positivity, connection and possibility take over. Making the record became that kind of escape for us too. Somewhere we could shut out the noise of everything going on outside and create our own world. We wanted it to feel like somewhere people could come with us.โ
That idea has been at the heart of the record from the beginning. When Deco first introduced Dreamhouse earlier this year, it wasn’t conceived simply as an album title but as a place: a safe space built through music, visuals and shared experiences. The band have steadily brought that world to life both online and in the real world.
At its centre is Deco’s knack for combining the nostalgic pull of the synth-pop records they grew up around with contemporary pop songwriting. The band’s beloved Juno-6 runs throughout the Dreamhouseโ sound, sitting alongside guitars, electronic textures, huge melodies and flashes of dancefloor energy. Influences ranging from Hot Chip and MGMT to Nation Of Language, Caribou and Everything Everything are absorbed into something unmistakably Deco.
Synth-pop earworms
Across the album, that optimism comes from very different places. The title track first opened the door into the Dreamhouse world, while Weekend bottled the anticipation of escaping routine and Youโre So Beautiful turned a moment of romantic realisation into euphoric electronic pop. On BIG!!!, the band aimed their wit at the ever-changing rules and conflicting advice of the modern music industry, while the more introspective Driverโs Seat explored self-doubt and the determination to keep moving even when you don’t know exactly where you’re heading.
Alongside them sit previously unheard tracks including Talking In My Sleep, Movie Star, Fever Dream, Tiger Blood, Make A Video and Beautiful Things, completing an album that moves between escapism, uncertainty, romance, ambition and the simple pleasure of finding something, or someone, that makes the outside world feel a little less overwhelming.
A single (ish)
Leading the album release is new focus track On The Radio, a driving synth-pop earworm built around one of music’s most universal thrills: hearing your song come through the speakers, whether that’s literally something you’ve written yourself or simply the record that has somehow become yours.
โThere’s something pretty surreal about hearing โyour songโ on the radio,โ says Max. โThat could mean something you’ve actually written, or just that song you and your friends have claimed as your own. On The Radio is about that rush โ big dreams, spontaneous nights with your favourite people and that feeling that something good might be about to happen.โ
Pairing euphoric hooks with a slightly darker synth-pop edge, On The Radio captures much of what makes Dreamhouse tick: nostalgic without looking backwards, wide-eyed without being naive and determined to find joy wherever it can.
