Annie Keating – Album release date fixed: News

Here it comes… Hard Frost, the new album from our favourite Brooklynite, Annie Keating, has just appeared above the horizon. Out on 1st June!

Little darlings – it’s been a long, cold, lonely winter but, just this week, we received the heartening news that summer is definitely on its way, and what better way to mark the approach of the season of festivals, fun and frivolity could there possibly be than with a new album from At The Barrier’s favourite Brooklynite, Annie Keating?

Hard Frost is complete and ready to go. It’s an 11-track collection and, on the evidence of tracks like Looking for Trouble, Sunshine Parade, Lovesick Blues, Belly of the Beast and Feels Like Home that have have all been thoroughly road-tested and will be familiar to the most dedicated Annie watchers, it promises to be a real doozie!

Pre-orders for Hard Frost can be placed via Annie’s Bandcamp page and anyone placing their order will receive, right now, a download of Lies and Dynamite, the album’s opening track. And, as a taster of the thrills to come, Lies and Dynamite is a great place to start whetting your appetite – Annie is joined by Canadian singer/songwriter Lynne Hanson on a typically gritty number, littered with Teddy Kumpel’s irresistible guitar licks, and Annie is on top vocal form.

Watch these pages – we promise to bring you a detailed review of the album as soon as we get the go-ahead. And watch out too for the announcement of Annie’s September UK tour – news is expected shortly…
