Cian Ducrot showcases his undoubted talent to the world in his debut album Victory.

Victory is the highly anticipated debut album from Cian Ducrot. This follows the success of his hit singles “All For You” reaching a whopping 5 million streams and “I’ll Be Waiting” reaching a peak of #15 in the UK Official Singles Chart.

The Irish sensation opens the album with the title track Victory- a deep and emotional tune which immediately highlights the message behind the album: a sentimental album about both damaged and strong relationships and growing from that as a person. Melodies within Victory fit the theme of the album so beautifully and Cian’s voice fits it perfectly.

Victory feels like it has been a long time coming but the build up to the release of has been thrilling. Cian has already played intimate shows at the end of June and joining Ed Sheeran on his UK tour earlier this year was a huge deal. The album shows someone going through a range of emotions during different relationships with different people and how people can change.

The story continues in the single released in January – I’ll Be Waiting. Lyrically, the song speak for itself:

If you ever wanna fall in love
If you ever wanna bet on us
If you ever wanna be my one
I’ll be waiting

Heaven is an emotional yet beautiful song about Cian’s strong bond with his brother. The piano playing is so fitting for such a song. Again, the lyrics highlight the sentiment superbly:

“And you’d say, “Oh”
And you’d say, “Hold my hand, I’ll be your brother wherever you go”

To bring such a beautiful album to a close, Cian has exceeded on the final song Thank God You Stayed; a song showing that nobody is the best version of themselves. The song has a simple yet breath taking outro which is so symbolic of the album’s message as a whole:

“Take all my wrongs, and make them all right
You deserve Heaven and I’ve given Hell”

Victory is a fantastic debut, and it lays the platform for Cian Ducrot to take on the world. It is hard not to see his star rising fast and shining for a very long time.

Cian will be touring North America in September as well as in the UK and Europe in November! Make sure to catch him at one of his many shows this year. You can view tour dates by clicking here.
