There’s a lot going on in Camp Barbara. At The Barrier faves, Barbara, have a new single – Tolerant Nation – in the barrel, ready to fire. And, as summer approaches, the Barbara Gig Diary is filling up too! Get ready for another Barbara Bonanza!!!

JOYFUL NEWS!
There’s joyful news emerging from BarbaraBorough. John, Henry and the lads have been spending time recently in Paul Weller’s Black Barn Studio (regular readers will recall that Barbara opened for the Modfather on his 2024 UK tour – read our review here) and the outcome of that studio time is a brand new single, Tolerant Nation. The single is poised for release in a few weeks’ time and you’ll be able to read all about it in At The Barrier. Barbara are REALLY pleased with the new song and, whet our appetites, they’ve let a brief snippet of the song leak through their security fence. You can sample that teaser here.
There’s no firm date yet for the release of Tolerant Nation but, rest assured, we’ll be on its case as soon as the release date is announced and imminent. And – it’s worth taking note – members of Barbara’s Patreon gang can get to hear Tolerant Nation a full week before it becomes available to mere mortals…
BARBARA GIGS
In other news, Barbara are currently gearing up for a summer of gigs in a schedule that starts later this month with a run a shows supporting Kid Creole & The Coconuts – no less! Those shows are followed by Barbara’s own headlining tour, which kicks off in mid-September at Hanger Farm Arts Centre in Southampton and runs until mid November when the tour wind up at Beverley’s East Riding Theatre. Along the way, the Barbara bus covers all points of the compass, including a show at Masham Town Hall on 3rd October. Masham and Barbara – what a combo! We’ve already booked our hotel!!
