The countdown is underway. In less than two weeks’ time – on Friday 1st May – Barbara will take the stage at Eiger Studios in Leeds for the first show on their Spring 2026 headline tour. We’ll be keeping a close eye on events as the Tydemans (and co) make their way around the country, especially with a nice cluster of dates around the North.

THE COUNTDOWN HAS STARTED
There’s less than two weeks to go and the countdown has started… According to the Barbara Space Agency, BaSA, John, Henry, Dean, Jack and Lawrie have completed their training and they’re currently donning their spacesuits. Their vessel, Barbaramis II, will take them to places – Cambridge, Liverpool and Bristol – in which Barbara have never previously set foot. Along the way, their ship be touching down in cities – Brighton, Leeds, London, Liverpool, Manchester and Edinburgh – where Barbarettes are plentiful and are already oozing with anticipation.

ROLL UP, ROLL UP
Tickets for the shows are going fast. Indeed, the Brighton gig on 23rd May is almost sold out, so, if you haven’t got your ticket yet, our advice is to get online and order yours now. They’re available here. At The Barrier will be keeping a close eye on events as the Barbara entourage wends its way around our island. We hope that we’ll see you at some shows – and please look out for what we have to say about the gigs.
We’re big fans of Barbara here at At The Barrier. The band’s 2025 self-titled debut album was one of our Albums of the Year and they’ll be performing songs from the album on the tour. If you haven’t heard them yet, this is a great chance to see what you’ve been missing. And, believe us when we say it – Barbara are one of the sharpest, most absorbing and most entertaining live bands around – check out some of reviews of their shows to get a feel of what to expect.
Barbara have often advised us to expect Rainy Days In June. That may be so, but the weather for May is definitely set fair.
THE BARBARA WORD IS SPREADING
The word is spreading – Barbara have even come to the attention of Fairport Convention, who have invited the band along to this year’s Fairport’s Cropredy Convention. Barbara will be performing at the festival on the afternoon of Saturday 15th August – and THAT will be one this year’s most special events.
Not long to go now! See you there!!
