As Victoria Park in Warrington again readies to host Neighbourhood Weekender, we look ahead to some anticipated highlights

This month sees Neighbourhood Weekender slip back into Warrington for what should be a hopefully sunny start to the outdoor festival cycle for 2026. As per, the line up sees three stages and all the fun of sorting the clash finder and deciding who to prioritise and that’s just the musical offerings.
The Main Stage
provides the spotlight for the big names and repeat offenders. Many have been recently featured on the ATB pages so no-one can really be a stranger to main headliners Richard Ashcroft and Blossoms (new album imminent so maybe a new tune or two) and a chance to admire Tom Ogden’s latest fashions. Both Richard and Cast continue to trade well off the oasis support slots of last Summer; The Royston Club will be stopping off as part of their touring schedule and we’ve recently borne witness to the acclaim that DMA’s have earned from a legion of fans.
The Guest List have also just announced their debut album and will be buzzing for a round of the Summer festivals – Tramlines, Reading, Leeds, Latitude etc. Not a bad way to start a SUnday.

The Big Top
sees Saturday headliner Example leading the line although our one to watch is folk-pop quartet Tide Lines from Scotland who back in 2023 were named as one of the leading folk rock groups in Scotland. For tried and trusted, Razorlight and The Fratellis appear on Sunday doing their thing on the open and we’re hopeful that one of our on the radar bands, Westside Cowboy, whose Manchester appearances have impressed, will do the same on the larger platform – maybe find a few more followers to fill the Albert Hall in December..
The Viola Beach Stage
is crammed with a bill of up and coming talent, some of whom will no doubt be snaking their way up the bill in years to come. For hat its worth, we’d check out Brรฒgealย from the Irish Folk-Punk scene for a lively start or Liverpool’s Cheap Thrills. Main tip for a new discovery? try Heidi Curtis and her band…..
