Parker Barrow – New Album and Video: News

Parker Barrow announce new sophomore album Hold The Mash and release new single Blinded – Summer 2026 U.S. and U.K. dates on the table.

HOLD THE MASH…

Hold The Mash will be with us on 17th July. The follow up to 2023’s Jukebox Gypsiesย  features songs from last yearโ€™sย Hold The Mashย E.P., including the singles Make It, Novocaine, The Healer, and Glass Eyes Cryinโ€™, alongside four new songs.

Blindedย was written byย Parkerย Barrowย drummer and founderย Dylan Turner, along with guitarist and musical directorย Alex Bender.ย Parkerย Barrowย will be on the road in the U.S. for much of the summer, before heading to the U.K. in July for the bandโ€™s first headline tour, plus performances at the Steelhouse and Maid Of Stone festivals.

โ€œIt was one of the first tracks written and recorded for the new album,โ€ says guitarist Bender about the new single. โ€œIt helped to give a bit of direction to where we hoped to go with the tracks that were to follow. The main riff sounds very Stonesy. I approached the rhythm guitar parts how I would imagine Keith Richards would play them if he was in the band. Blinded is a good example of the less is more approach where the beauty lies in its simplicity.โ€

IN SHORT…

Led from the front as usual by husband-and-wife duo Megan Kaneย (lead vocals) andย Dylan Turnerย (drums), the new single, Blinded, teases the album nicely as the Parker Barrow big band don their gleaming white suits to deliver a great thick shot of a riff to meet the expectation of Bender’s perfect description. On a (probably dark) street corner, Keith Richards cross swords with Angus Young and the duo combine on a riff overheard by Bender as Megan weighs in with the “have you ever had to beg” opening line. A back to basics example of how to work a groove that would be right at home in a bouncing stadium. Add some choice lashings of soul courtesy of tasty keyboard textures and backing vox, and Blinded is as good a reason as any to long for Hold The Mash. Just don’t be thrown by the false ending and park any false hope!
