Maisie Peters returns with her third studio album, Florescence, following the release of the triumphant The Good Witch.

FLORESCENCE
Maisie Peters makes her long-awaited return to music with her third album, Florescence. It is a journey of self-discovery, vulnerability and unapologetic authenticity.
The album opens with Mary Janes, a track that embraces normality and releases an empowering message. Soft instrumentals blend with Maisie’s soothing vocals create a welcoming introduction to the record, allowing listeners to enter a state of reflection.
Maisie shared some inspiration behind the song: “I was thinking about how powerful the Lola Young song ‘Messy’ is. I was wondering what my own version of that would be like, coming out with all the things about me that are uncool or embarrassing. It’s something I’ve battled with a lot over the years—not feeling cool in the industry or in my genre or in myself. This song is a breath of fresh air to me. And it also felt like it really carried the thesis statement of the album within it—it feels the most Florescence in its bones.”
AUDREY HEPBURN
Released as the latest single from the album, Audrey Hepburn served as the final glimpse of Florescence before its release. Paying homage to the late Audrey Hepburn, Maisie pairs romantic nostalgia with a desire for simplicity. Opening with delicate vocals and soft guitar playing, Peters paints an image of romance and simplicity, a contrast from modern life and its chaos.
So take me back to the country, to the hills and to the spires
I hate the afterparties, I want forests, I want fires
Take me back to your parents, I was barefaced in the light
You swore I looked like Audrey Hepburn that night
The track encapsulates a sense of warmth that runs throughout Florescence, balancing vulnerability with storytelling.

KINGMAKER
Kingmaker, featuring Julia Michaels, is the ultimate collaboration. Peters has been a fan of Michaels since she was 16, making the track feel particularly significant. Rather than following a traditional verse-and-chorus structure, the track unfolds as a conversation exchange between two friends, with both artists taking turns in singing lines back and forth. The lyricism reflects the emotional exhaustion of being selfless. Maisie and Julia’s voices are paired effortlessly on this track, complimenting one another to create a sound that feels raw and reflective.
Guess I walked so they could run all the way from me
But they don’t have big enough guts for all that glory
They’ll take my crown, head out west, and forget their creator
Then they’ll come back, they always do, to the kingmaker
My Regards follows as a confident, self-assured anthem. It celebrates her love for her partner while challenging public opinion often perceived on musicians’ relationships. Written in Nashville, hints of country influences flow throughout the track, adding charm to its heartfelt message.
NOTHING LIKE BEING IN LOVE
Closing the album with warmth is Nothing Like Being In Love. It makes it clear that Peters has entered her lover girl era. It serves as a perfect closure for Florescence and allows listeners to reflect on the album. Heartfelt lyricism paired with idyllic production leaves listeners in a state of reflection as Florescence comes to a close.
As a whole, Florescence feels like Maisie as her most authentic self. The album cleverly blends honesty, vulnerability, confidence and hope. This marks a bold return to music for Peters, and continues to show that her authenticity stands strong.
Maisie Peters is set to perform at the O2 Arena in London for her biggest ever headline show in 2027. She also performs at major festivals this summer including BBC’s Big Weekend and Reading & Leeds Festival.
