Here’s the new single and video from DARKHER – covering Soundgraden’s Like Suicide.

Prophecy artist DARKHER’s new single and video Like Suicide is a Soundgarden cover from Magnetic Eye Records’ Superunknown Redux, which includes artists such as Witch Mountain, The Age Of Truth and Somnuri. It comes out on July 14 alongside its companion piece Best Of Soundgarden Redux.

We certainly enjoyed “the sense of unease and mystery” on The Buried Storm album and her treatment of the Soundgarden classic is typically brooding.

The Magnetic Eye Redux Series features hand-picked classic albums from across the history of rock and metal, creating a re-imagined version in their entirety from start to finish. Artists from within and outside the heavy rock landscape choose tracks to make their own, bringing these milestone records into the new millennium with crushing heaviness and searing energy.

To date, Magnetic Eye has produced Redux editions of classics such as Pink Floyd’s The Wall and AC/DC’s Back In Black, with music covered by artists like Pallbearer, The Melvins, Zakk Wylde and Mark Lanegan.
